Jason and Lucia begin the story in the Leonida Keys, a chain of bridge-connected islands south of Vice City. Explore the turquoise shallows and beach town early because the Keys are story-critical and packed with introductory activities.
Vice City is split into neighborhoods like Ocean Beach, South Beach, Little Havana, Little Haiti, Washington Beach, and the Stockyard. Ocean Beach and South Beach are the neon nightlife strips, while the Stockyard and Vice City Port are grimy industrial zones that suit low-profile activity.
The Grassrivers wetland is Leonida's Everglades and normal cars are useless in the marsh. Grab an airboat, a new vehicle class built for this biome, to skim across shallow water, dodge alligators, and reach hunting and fishing spots you cannot drive to.

Port Gellhorn is Leonida's 'forgotten coast,' a faded tourist town of run-down motels, empty strip malls, and shut-down attractions. It's quieter than Vice City, making it good for exploring interiors and dodging cops when heat is high.
Underwater exploration is a standout feature around the Leonida Keys, with coral reefs, sunken shipwrecks, and submerged caves. Bring a boat or jet ski out, dive down, and check wrecks for hidden loot away from the coastline.
Rockstar packed the map with a reported 700-plus enterable interiors: nightclubs, motels, restaurants, pawn shops, supermarkets, fast-food joints, and gun stores. If a door looks usable, try it, because many hold shops, activities, or robbery opportunities.
Leonida is divided into counties such as Vice-Dale (Vice City and its airport/port), Kelly County (Port Gellhorn), Mariana County (Leonida Keys and Grassrivers), and Ambrosia County (Lake Leonida). Thinking in counties makes long cross-map trips easier to plan.
