ViceUniverse ("we", "us") is a fan-made companion site for Grand Theft Auto VI. This page explains what information we collect when you use viceuniverse.com, why, and what choices you have. We keep this simple on purpose — the site does not sell your data, and there is no data broker or marketing list behind it.
Signing in with Google
If you choose to sign in, we use Firebase Authentication (a Google service) to handle the Google sign-in flow. When you sign in, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with the site so we can show them in the account menu. We don't see or store your Google password, and we don't request access to your Gmail, Drive, or other Google data — only basic profile information.
Saved tips & videos
Bookmarking a tip or video requires being signed in, but the bookmarks themselves are stored only in your browser's local storage on your device — not on our servers, and not linked to your Google account server-side. Clearing your browser data or using the "Reset" button on the Saved page removes them. Bookmarks made on one device or browser won't appear on another.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads on the site. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can review or opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Google's own practices are covered by the How Google uses information from sites that use its services page.
Cookies & local storage
Beyond the AdSense cookies above, Firebase Authentication uses cookies/local storage to keep you signed in between visits. We don't run any separate analytics or tracking scripts of our own.
Children's privacy
This site is a fan resource for a Mature-rated video game and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
