Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder. He grew up around grifters and crooks, served a stint in the Army to escape his troubled teenage years, and ended up working for drug runners in the Leonida Keys. Meeting Lucia could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to him — Rockstar has said their bond sits at the emotional center of the game.

Introduced in GTA 6's debut trailer already incarcerated at Leonida Penitentiary, Lucia was raised in Liberty City by a mother chasing "half-baked" dreams of the good life and a father who taught her to fight from childhood. She ended up in prison for fighting for her family, and gets out only through sheer luck — resolving to make only smart moves from here on. After release she partners with Jason Duval, and their bond drives GTA 6's story across Vice City and the state of Leonida.

A Vice City local legend, Boobie Ike is one of the few people to transform his time in the streets into a legitimate business empire spanning real estate, a strip club, and a recording studio. Charismatic and business-minded, he's a key figure in Vice City's social and criminal landscape, and partners with music producer Dre'Quan Priest through his record label ventures.

Always more of a hustler than a gangster, Dre'Quan's real goal is breaking into the music business. He runs the record label Only Raw Records and signs the in-game rap duo Real Dimez (Bae-Luxe and Roxy), working closely with Vice City entrepreneur Boobie Ike.

A classic drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys, Brian still moves product through his boat yard. He employs protagonist Jason Duval and provides him housing, and is connected to associate Cal Hampton. His wife, Lori Heder, is referenced in official materials as his third and current wife.

Lori appears beside her husband Brian at his boat yard in the Leonida Keys, comfortable handling both a pistol and an assault rifle. Middle-aged with blonde, shoulder-length hair, a rose tattoo, and a heart tattoo bearing Brian's name, she's on friendly terms with Jason Duval — Brian even encourages him to stop by for her homemade sangria.

A heavyset, tattooed friend of Jason and fellow associate of Brian Heder, Cal is most comfortable at home monitoring Coast Guard radio scanners and browsing the internet "with a healthy dose of paranoia." He continues GTA's tradition of tech-savvy support characters who help the crew from the sidelines rather than out in the field.

A confident, charming figure with deep roots in Vice City's criminal underworld, Raul constantly scouts talented up-and-coming criminals for his heist crews. He appears on GTA VI's official cover art in a white suit and purple shirt, and becomes closely linked to Lucia and Jason as the one who draws them into higher-stakes heist work.

Bae-Luxe and Roxy turned small-time shakedowns of local dealers into cash via spicy rap tracks and a relentless social media presence. An early single with local rapper DWNPLY brought them viral fame; after years of struggle, they signed to Only Raw Records, the label backed by Dre'Quan Priest and Boobie Ike.

Stefanie counsels Lucia Caminos in the opening scene of GTA 6's debut trailer, asking "Lucia, do you know why you're here?" — the very first line of dialogue in any official GTA 6 marketing material. Composed and professional, her role appears tied to guiding Lucia through incarceration, though her exact narrative function beyond this scene is unconfirmed.

A very minor background figure glimpsed in an in-universe social media clip during GTA 6's debut trailer: a green pickup truck speeds along before exploding, captioned "RIP Rudi — C U in heaven, cuz." That caption is the only place he's named, but it confirms Rudi as a real, officially named trailer element and a textbook "Leonida Man" — the game's parody of the real-world "Florida Man" meme.
