The Cast of GTA 6: Every Confirmed Character and How They Connect
Jason and Lucia are the leads — but the confirmed cast around them already forms a web of partners, employers, and rivals. Here's who's who.
GTA games live and die on their characters, and GTA 6 has already introduced a cast that's more interconnected than the usual scattered rogues' gallery. Rather than list bios one by one, this guide maps how the confirmed characters actually relate to each other — because the relationships are where the story lives.
Jason and Lucia — the center of gravity
Everything orbits Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Lucia is the mainline series' first female protagonist, introduced already incarcerated at Leonida Penitentiary; Jason is an ex-Army drifter who fell into working for drug runners in the Keys. They're written as a couple, a Bonnie-and-Clyde pairing, and Rockstar has said their bond is the emotional center of the game. You play both, switching between them, and they share a joint bank account — mechanically reinforcing that they're a team, not two separate stories.
Jason's world — the Keys crew
Around Jason sits a small crew tied to the Leonida Keys. Brian Heder is a classic old-school drug runner who employs Jason and provides him housing, moving product through his boat yard. Brian's wife, Lori Heder, runs that boat yard alongside him and is on friendly enough terms with Jason that Brian jokes about him stopping by for her homemade sangria. And then there's Cal Hampton — Jason's paranoid, conspiracy-minded friend who'd rather monitor Coast Guard scanners from home than be out in the field, continuing GTA's tradition of the tech-savvy support character.
Vice City's players — money and music
The Vice City side of the map introduces a different circle built around business and music. Boobie Ike is a Vice City entrepreneur — the 'Jack of Hearts' — who turned street money into a legit empire spanning real estate, a strip club, and a recording studio. He partners with Dre'Quan Priest, a hustler-turned-music-producer chasing a career in the business through his label, Only Raw Records. That label signs the viral rap duo Real Dimez (Bae-Luxe and Roxy), tying the music thread together. It's a self-contained little economy of ambition sitting inside the bigger crime story.
The heist connection — and the smaller faces
Raul Bautista is the character most likely to pull Jason and Lucia into bigger scores: a seasoned bank robber and heist-crew leader who scouts up-and-coming criminals, and who appears on the game's official cover art. He's the bridge between the couple's small-time beginnings and higher-stakes work.
Then there are the smaller confirmed faces that flesh out the world: Stefanie, the correctional counselor who speaks the very first line of dialogue in any GTA 6 trailer as she questions Lucia; and Rudi, the 'Leonida Man' — a blink-and-you-miss-it trailer cameo whose exploding pickup truck became a meme, and Rockstar's wink at the real-world 'Florida Man' phenomenon.
Why the web matters
Laid out together, the cast isn't random — it's two overlapping circles (Jason's Keys crew, the Vice City money-and-music scene) with Lucia and Jason as the thread between them and Raul Bautista as the pull toward the big jobs. That structure is a strong hint at how the story escalates: from small coastal hustles to Vice City's bigger game. Expect Rockstar to keep adding names as launch approaches — this is the confirmed core, not the final roster.
